Gene Cantrall was born on Jan. 31, 1939, in Grass Valley, to Archie and Eva Cantrall. He was raised and educated in Grass Valley.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for seven years.
On Aug. 26, 1961, he married Camille Mikulic. Following their marriage, the couple moved with his military assignments, and lived in Mississippi and Washington. They moved to Aloha in 1972.
He worked for Tektronix for 19 years and for Blue Cross for seven years.
He enjoyed boating and the outdoors. A certified ski instructor, he taught skiing on Mt. Hood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Everett.
Survivors include his wife, Camille; daughter, Taresa Ketcherside; son, John Cantrall; sister, Sharon Rodda; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
